Air, Sea and Technology Hubs

Located on the corner of the Atlantic Ocean, Fortaleza has a strategic position that places it as one of the most vibrant hubs for connections to the world. It is home to technological, maritime and air hubs. There are 18 submarine fiber optic cables in operation connecting Brazil with Africa, Europe, North America, Central America and South America. Fortaleza also has direct and daily international flights to locations such as Lisbon, Paris, Miami, and Buenos Aires, in addition to being connected to all major airports in Brazil.

We have an appropriate infrastructure

With cutting-edge convention centers and an extensive hotel network, the city offers suitable spaces for conferences, exhibitions, international sporting events and large-scale shows.

The WUF’s main facility will be the Ceará Events Center (CEC), considered the most modern event facility in Latin America and the second largest in Brazil by area at 69,278 m². The space can accommodate more than 30,000 people at the same time, in addition to having 36 modular and air- conditioned multipurpose rooms and 3,200 parking spaces. The living space has 6,000 m2, which houses 16 food stores, bookstores and handicrafts.

Structure of Iracema Beach

The City of Fortaleza can set up a megastructure on the embankment of Iracema Beach, such as the one set up for the New Year’s Eve of Fortaleza with a space of 14,736m², being the largest in the north and Northeast of Brazil. This structure would be used to hold round tables, musical performances, celebrations of the event, and moments of exchange between the various actors involved, among others.

Estação das Artes Cultural Complex

Located in an area of approximately 67 thousand square meters (m²), the Estação das Artes Cultural Complex includes the following structures: the Food Market- CE, the Pinacoteca do Estado do Ceará, the Railway Museum, the Design Center, the new headquarters of the Secretary of Culture of the State of Ceará (Secult-CE), and the Institute of National Historical and Artistic Heritage of Ceará (Iphan-CE). The locations are also equipped with space for events, platforms, shared courtyards, reception and administrative environment, prioritizing accessibility measures in the structural provisions of each setting.
